Since the day he understood that he loved words, Stéphane Blanchette never stopped writing songs.
Because of his textual orientation, he became, at a very young age, a man of accomplished words, embracing without apprehension his love for letters and their essence. Whether they are vivacious vowels, consenting consonants, he loves them all.
Stéphane has been the more inspired since receiving a number of awards from various song contests and festivals, notably from the Festival en Chanson de Petite-Vallée (Prix du public parolier – Public’s choice award for best lyricist – 2003 and 2004) and from the Concours National de Paroliers (4th prize, 2003 and 3rd prize, 2004).
He went on to write three songs for Dave Bourgeois in March 2007, and later wrote for various up and coming singers such as Kevin Thompson, Celine Boissoneault, Mico, Marie-Josée Cyr, Karine Beauchamps, Alecka, Stéphanie Boulay, Marabû, Carla and many more.
