After being nominated for Revelation of the Year at the ADISQ Gala in 2020 for his debut album, along with several creation residencies, his first performances in France, and winning two awards at the Gala Rideau 2020 following his showcase, it’s safe to say that Miro was already heading for great heights. The artist, described by critics as an “authentic hitmaker,” made a significant impact in the summer of 2020 by becoming the first artist to perform atop the Olympic Stadium tower in Montreal. In his second album, Sablier, Miro returns to a sound that is as unique as it is inimitable, blending hip-hop, R&B, pop, and soul. His third album, Géant, released on November 10, 2023, presents a new facet of the artist, recounting his diverse encounters and experiences during the creation of this third opus. It features not only an album rich in organic sounds with a predominance of instruments, but also a project specifically designed for live performance. “Quitter la ville,” the third single released, a collaboration with the wonderful Ariane Moffatt, has made its mark on the top 100 Francophone charts for 23 weeks, reaching the 6th position. One can certainly say that his nickname as an “authentic hitmaker” is still going strong! His latest single Je ne sais quoi (released on July 31, 2025) unveils a darker, more introspective side of Miro. Inspired by artists such as Stromae, Yamê, and Mac Miller, this second release—entirely written, produced, and recorded independently—explores inner duality and the search for meaning. It is part of the lead-up to his fourth album, scheduled for release in 2026.
