Catherine Laurin is a passionate musician, trained at the Conservatory of Trois-Rivières and the University of Montreal in composition. A violinist and singer, she has collaborated with artists such as Jacques Lacombe and Valérie Carpentier. In 2020, she reached the quarter-finals of “La Voix,” which gave her significant visibility across Quebec.
Currently, she is a member of the progressive rock group Pourpre, the Catherine Laurin Jazz Quintet, and is the founder of Cosmophone. As a presenter on Radio-classique, she also sings in the folk-pop group Caprices, which released its first EP on October 15, 2024.
